Vitamin C contributes to normal cognitive and psychological function. The formation of cartilage, bones, gums, skin and teeth. Vitamin C helps normal function of the immune system, energy yielding metabolism and reducing tiredness and fatigue. It also protects DNA, proteins and lipids from oxidative stress. Pressed apple juice is made by pressing the liquid from the fruit with high-pressure, whilst apple juice from concentrate is made by extracting the water from the juice produced, leaving a powder which is then transported before adding water again to be sold. Apple juice from concentrate often lacks the nutrients that cold-pressed apple juice provides.
Yes, drinking pressed apple juice daily is a great way to get added vitamins into your diet. However, due to the naturally high sugar content, we recommend that limiting yourself to a 250ml glass a day provides enough nutritional benefit.
